There are 6 positions in ice hockey game! There are one center, two wings, two defences, and one goalkeeper.

Let's look at the positions

Center and wingers are the main attackers of the game. Center and wings carry the puck by doing break out.
Defenses are focused on stopping the opponent's offense mans.
Goalkeepers have their own special equipment. Since they have to receive enormously strong shots from the opponents, their equipment is focused on protecting the player.
