HOT <br> 2008 - 1st Mini album <br> 6 songs • 19 minutes <br> <br> Hot is the first extended play (EP) and debut album of South Korean singer Taeyang, member of Big Bang. The EP was well received by fans and critics alike, winning two trophies from The 6th Korean Music Awards for the 2008 Best R&B/Soul Song and the 2008 Best R&B/Soul Album. Taeyang is the first Idol group or boyband member to receive such awards. Two singles were released from the album, 'Gido' and 'Naman Barabwa', with music videos produced for each song. 'Make Love' from this album was remade by Big Bang to be featured in their Japanese album Number 1. Bandmate G-Dragon recorded a 'Part two' version of 'Only Look At Me', and released it as a digital single, '나만 바라봐 Part 2.' Both versions were performed at the M.Net MKMF Awards, where each member of Big Bang performed a song with Korean singer Hyori Lee. The album was released in two forms: the 'Regular Edition' and the 'Deluxe Edition' which is limited to 30,000 copies worldwide. The lead-single was 'I Need a Girl' featuring his bandmate G-Dragon. In Solar, Taeyang put much effort into enhancing his vocal skills as well as his composing, co-writing as many as four songs and writing lyrics for 'Take It Slow'. Taeyang's first international album, Solar International, is the first ever K-Pop music release to be sold worldwide on iTunes as both an audio and video album. The audio version hit iTunes stores on August 19, 2010, while the video version arrived by September 10, 2010. The audio album combines both English and Korean hits from his past and present albums including 'I'll Be There', 'Connection', 'Wedding Dress' and 'I Need a Girl'. RISE <br> 2014 <br> 9 songs • 30 minutes <br> <br> Considered as a materpiece, the album RISE released in 2014 was the most popular album. Especially, the title: 'Eyes, Nose, Lips' had recorded Melon chart top 100 for 278 days and awarded 2014 MMA- the best song in 2014. The past albums were pop style, but Taeyang tuned RISE concept more into R&B style. White Night <br> 2017 <br> 8 songs • 26 minutes <br> <br> Taeyang is an R&B crooner at heart, but he gets more ambitious with the genre mashing and embraces more mature themes on his third solo album. The Bigbang singer wraps his silky vocals in melancholy electronica on 'WAKE ME UP,' while punchy synthesizers help him make a case for immediate intimacy on 'NAKED. But the impassioned vocal performancebn sparse piano ballad 'DARLING' shows why the best instrument at Taeyang's disposal is, undoubtedly, his own voice.
