It refers to professional games of 12 clubs in the Central League (abbreviated three leagues) and the Pacific League (abbreviated par leagues) organized by the Japanese Baseball Organization (NPB). Apart from the Central League and the Pacific League, there are several independent leagues, such as Shikoku Island League Plus.[2]
It is the second-largest and most economical baseball league in the world, behind Major League Baseball, the last-ever king of Donjiral. As in the league of the country where baseball is the national flag, it ranks first, beating the major leagues in terms of the average number of spectators.
There are a total of 12 teams, and all teams operate with their parent companies, similar to KBO. In Korea, there is a widespread perception that these companies are much smaller than those participating in Korean professional baseball, which is half right and half wrong.
