Its obverse represents the head and neck of the Goddess of Liberty, and the reverse expresses a bald eagle taking a rest in the olive branch, with represents "Peace". It was the last United States dollar coin to be struck for circulation in silver.
The Peace dollar was announced by The Treasury on December 19, 1921. And it released into circulation on January 3, 1922. Peace dollar has a diameter of 1.5 inches (38 mm), which is larger than other modern circulating coins.
